Achievements in Figure Skating and Dance
Huge congratulations to Sadie Poole-Spedding (7H) who won the silver medal for her group, in the Spin, Spiral and Jump Figure Skating competition at Blackburn Ice Arena on Saturday 16th May. What a fabulous achievement; we look forward to hearing of Sadie’s future successes on the ice. Last weekend, Poppy Hutton (8S), took part in a Dance competition at Kings Hall, Stoke on Trent. Over 100 teams competed over the two days, with teams from all over the UK, with ages ranging from Under 6s to Seniors. Poppy has been dancing since the age of 4 years old and dances for Fever Dance Company. Her team won the UK Formation Titles Under 14s 4 couple R/S and the dance school as a whole came away with three 1st places and three 2nd places and had several teams finishing in high placings.
